Takumi Townhouse Japan Week

Why?

Using the Japan Week Festival we wanted to tell the story of Takumi and the influence of Japanese culture on craftsmanship methods.


What?

With Lexus and selected Japanese brands from the food and drink industry, we set out to find a venue in central London that we can fully transform into a Takumi townhouse with a walk through zen garden. By developing relationships with the new partners and understanding their brand journeys, our goal was to engage with the public and immerse them into the stories behind the Takumi process behind their products.


How?

The environment was key so we designed the space using premium reusable materials to reflect Japanese culture and provide each partner a themed platform to present their brands and sample their products. The MSL operational team were fully responsible for the management of the logistics and install which was not an easy feat in Covent Garden!


Over 8 brand partners worked together through MSL. The Takumi Townhouse became the epicentre to Festival week itself and the venue hosted the opening VIP and media party. The forest garden was fully reusable.
