At MSL Global, we’re trusted by our clients to deliver exceptional experiential brand activations for some of the world’s most recognisable brands. As our business continues to grow, we’re excited to be recruiting for a newly created Head of Operations & Logistics role.
The Head of Operations & Logistics is responsible for the leadership, performance and strategic direction of the Operations function. Reporting directly to the Client Services Director and working closely with the Head of (Client) Projects, this role sits at the heart of the business and is critical to the safe, efficient and commercially sound delivery of all client programmes.
You’ll take ownership of operational performance across fleet, warehouse, logistics and event delivery, supporting high-profile brand activations at venues including Lord’s Cricket Ground, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the NEC and Battersea Power Station.
This role combines hands-on operational control with strategic planning, governance and data-led insight to support effective decision-making and future business growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Operations & Logistics team, setting clear standards, expectations and accountability for performance and capability.
- Own end-to-end operational delivery across fleet, warehouse, logistics and event delivery, ensuring readiness, consistency and quality across all projects.
- Act as the senior operational escalation point, proactively managing risk, health & safety, compliance and complex delivery challenges.
- Own operational budgets, forecasting and cost control, ensuring commercial discipline and effective resource utilisation.
- Define and track operational KPIs, using data and insight to inform planning, drive efficiency and support continuous improvement.
What are we looking for:
- Proven experience in a senior operations or logistics leadership role within a live or physical delivery environment
- Demonstrable people leadership experience, including managing performance, developing capability and planning resources
- Clear evidence of budget ownership, forecasting and cost control within operational teams
- Established experience managing health & safety, risk, compliance and operational governance
- Track record of managing suppliers and contractors, working to SLAs and performance measures
- Strong operational judgement and problem-solving ability, particularly in live or high-pressure environments
- High commercial and data literacy, using insight to inform decisions and drive improvement
- Confident stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior internal and external stakeholders
- Background in live events, experiential marketing, production or similar environments (highly desirable)
- A relevant qualification in operations, logistics, project management or health & safety (desirable, not essential)
Requirements:
- You must have a clean driving license and able to commute to our offices in Bordon, this is an office based role.
